Both teams are driving back to Willmar now! Keep Team Taiwan in your prayers – they’ve endured a long travel day and have another full day tomorrow of debreifing and their final concert!
Our final week of ministry in Taiwan has been both exhausting and fulfilling. We spent our mornings at a local Jr. High school
in Er-Shui getting to know the band students, listening to their music, and sharing our music and stories with them. After lunch each day we headed to a kids camp, where we played with adorable children and tried to help when we could.
Each evening we played a concert at a different church. We were able to play for each of the four regional youth groups in Changhua county. On our final night, several groups of students whom we had played for previously came to see us off. It was an almost surreal experience as we realized the connections that had been formed during our time here.
The past few days have been spent at the YWAM base in Danshui. We’ve had the chance to do a little sightseeing, visit the ocean, and debrief our experience as a team. It’s been good to rest physically and begin processing the things we have learned.
As we prepare to fly home my heart is full as I recount the ways in which God has been faithful to our team over the past 5 weeks. From health to team unity to amazing translators and hosts, God has provided for every need. I’m thankful for the specific instances we’ve seen God at work and for the times where we were forced to trust that He was at work even when we couldn’t see it.
We prayed Ephesians 3:14-21 to close our last meeting, so I’ll close our final update with this passage:
“For this reason I bow before the Father, from whom every blessing in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – that you, being rooted and established in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do far more than we could ever ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

To Team Colombia: travel safe, we’ll see you soon! I love you friends and family. Excited to share what God had shown me.
Hey everybody! Evan here.
We are doing well here in Taiwan. We have been partnering with pastor Lin in a town called Er-Lin. We’ve had concerts in schools, churches, in the market, and in a prison. God has been working in and through us here. We are continually encouraged by the people we meet and the love we are shown.
We opened our encouragement letters from friends and family this week and we’re blown away by the love and community we have back home. Thank you.
Our days here can be long and tiring. When we reach the end of ourselves, we’re reminded that our strength comes from the Lord and that we must rely on him. This is a difficult thing to understand.
Sometimes I feel tired or frustrated, but I remember it is God who has commisioned me here to do his work. That is such an incredible realization that the God who created the universe is mindful of me and loves me. I am reminded of a verse:
Isaiah 42: 9-10 says,
“You whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”; fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
What an encouragement to know that God is our help and our strength!
We thank you for your prayers and encouragements! Keep us on your minds and in your prayers as we approach our return to the States. Our remaining time here will be very busy with concerts and ministry and we are thankful for every second God has given us here in Taiwan. We send our love.
Kim: We’ve been having such an awesome time over here! Playing lots of concerts, hanging out with kids, and eating tons of amazing seafood! Pray for strength and energy as we begin our last week here. God is faithful always. See you soon! Love you mom, dad, Billy, Brad and Lex!

Holly: I’ve been really thankful lately for the incredible hospitality of Ren-Ai church members, the hard work and support of our translators, and the positive attitudes of my team members. Please pray for rest for our souls and bodies as we seek to make the most of our final days in country.

Hello! We arrived in Taipei safely with all of our gear intact. We’ve Stayed in Danshui for a few days and received cultural and ministry orientation. Next we traveled south to Er-Shui. We’ve partnered with pastor Liu of Er-Shui church. Our ministry has included leading youth groups, church congregations and playing at a girls home. We have also been teaching a group of students an English song that will be recorded by the church for ministry use.
We are currently gearing up to travel and partner with another pastor to minister in a number of schools and churches that have never had foreigners come and minister. Pastor Liu explained that in small towns, when something new happens, everyone from the town comes to see. We are happy to be part of this strategic ministry and Pastor Liu is excited to use us in an effort to reach these people.
The team has been so humbled by the love and generosity we’ve recieved here. We have been encouraged by team Colombia’s photos and updates of ministry. We are praying for you guys. Our God is at work all over the world and we are blessed to be a part of it. More to come soon!

Holly: Hi family and friends! We’re doing well here – have been learning a lot about the Taiwanese culture from YWAM staff, especially our amazing translators. We’ve been able to try a lot of new food and see the beautiful countryside, as well as connect with church members, youth, and kids that we’ve met at our venues. God is faithful to provide all we need. I ask for your prayers and send my love.
