Hey everyone! Sorry it's taken us so long to update. We're trying to email you some pictures to post as well. :)
We survived our first week in Singapore with some interesting local food, yummy bubble tea and friendly Sinaporeans. The weather hasn't change a bit, and it has been raining in the afternoon for the past couple days. However, God is still good.
Yesterday Alvin, Pamela and myself (Kylie) went to a school in the morning, and once we got off the bus, it started to rain. The rain here is quite heavy, kind of like the storm in the States. We were thinking and preparing to be wet, but the whole time (about 15 mins walk) from the bus stop, there were cover roof all the way to the school.
Later on in the afternoon, when Alvin and I went to another school to promote our concert event, the sun came back out and there was no cover roof all the way from the train station to the school. Alvin and I were amazed at God's provision, how He cares even little things like providing us covers so we won't get wet.
So far we have been to many different schools to either encounrage the Christian students there or to invite them to the garage event (big concert gathering where we can freely share the gospel). The last few days we've been split up into 2 groups, and the outcome has been great.
We just had our first full-band school concert this morning. It was quite interesting. We were supposed to start at 11AM, but there were some other activities going on so we didn't start until 12:46PM. Then the power went out completely, so we only did 2 songs. Then right after the concert, we were supposed to tear down super fast. Anyways, we went through it and Randy said that we did help them to set the ground work. I guess that's good. :)
We will be playing some more concerts tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. Tomorrow night will be the garage event when all the students from today's school will hopefully come.
Thank you for praying and thinking about us. Please continue to pray for strength, patience, and unity for the team, and health for everyone.
Blessings!
Kylie-on behalf of Team Singapore.
