Dear families and friends,
We are back from Singapore and we have parted since last Saturday.
I am still processing and reflecting with many thoughts, and I know that for each team member this is not going to be a short, easy process.
I personally truly learned the meaning of "servanthood." How Jesus never asked anyone to serve Him, but Jesus Himself step up and served all of us. Jesus never complained. He prayed earnestly for God's will to be done (Mark 14:36).
Throughout the trip, I found myself frustrated a lot. I was reminded that Martha was frustrated with Mary, but Jesus said to Martha (Luke 10:41-42), "Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
During our debriefing time, Rebecca shared something similar to this idea, that serving does not necessary equal doing. Jesus simply asked us to sit by His feet and listen to Him, be still and know that He is God. Only after we are wholeheartedly pursuing Jesus can we have a deeper understanding of what it means to "serve." It's a hard lesson to learn, and I am still learning. However, God is our hope and He will guide us 'til the end.
I am grateful for my team and all the lessons we have learned throughout the trip. And I pray that as you partnered with us and heard all the stories from each team member back at home, you will be blessed and your faith will be strengthened.
Thank you again for all of your supports and prayers.
Blessings,
Kylie

Dear families and friends,
Thank you for your constant prayers and support! We will be home very soon!
Today we played our very last concert here in Singapore, and it was an early concert (we met at the school at around 6AM). We also had a debriefing lunch with the YFC staff, and we all shared what we have learned from the past 3 weeks. It amazed me to hear the stories from the church staff and the YFC staff, and it all made perfect sense why things happened in certain ways.
One of the concerts we played at the church was scheduled to be outdoor s . However, right before the concert was about to start at 6PM, we had to tear down and moved into the indoor hall. The concert was delayed and didn't start until almost 7PM. At the time it was a frustrating move, but today we heard that because there was a bridge accident that day, a lot of the people couldn't make it on-time. If God hadn't moved us indoor and delayed the concert, most of them would've missed the first part of the concert.
Another thing we learned today was that 26 non-Christians who came to our last Garage concert all responded with interest in wanting to know more about Jesus. Just to fill you all in, our last Garage concert started without any power. We had to sing about 5 songs with just guitar and piano, with no microphones. We had a great spirit with the situation, but we were also quite defeated that our last big concert started without power. God provided the power for the second half, and we did our part by remaining faithful and reaching out to the students there. The outcome was that 26 non-Christians would like to know more about Jesus! Praise God! It's not by our power, strength, and might, but by the Spirit of Jesus Christ! God really doesn't need us, but He chooses to use us anyway. We are grateful to be used by our Mighty God!
Other things that the team has been learning:
Lastly, a scripture we learned today from Randy, our YFC contact:
Philippians 2:5-11
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
We are excited to be home soon. More stories to share with you all!
*Just a friendly reminder, if you can't make it to Willmar, you can watch our final concert (July 16th, 7PM) back in Willmar, MN at http://ctimusic.org/live
Blessings and THANK YOU!

Hello families and friends!!

Thank you so much for praying for us these past few weeks. Can't believe it's almost the end of our time here in Singapore! It's our last week, and we have moved on from the hostel where we were staying and are with Singaporean host homes now.
We have been busier than usual, almost everyday we are either performing concerts or going out in different groups. These past couple days we have tried durian, went outing with some students, and visited more places in Singapore. The weather here has been nice, the rain has finally stopped.

God has been teaching each one of us everyday, and God has opened my eyes to see the needs here in Singapore. If you could please pray for the Christian youths here that they will have a good understanding why they became Christians. I found it common here that the youths don't really know why they believe in Jesus. Most of them believed simply because their parents or relatives brought them to church. These youths will be the one sharing the gospel with their non-Christian friends and families, so please pray that God will stir their hearts that they would want to know God and have a deep, personal relationship with God.
Other than that, if you could pray that we will "keep holding on." We have two 2-hour concerts (this Friday and Saturday) this weekend, and we are having long days everyday from now til Sunday. May we continue to focus on God, remembering that we are doing for the Lord, not for ourselves.

All the team members have received their special mails from you, THANK YOU SO MUCH for encouraging them and making them feel so loved and special. You put a huge smile on their faces.
There will be shout outs coming soon. :)
In Him,
Kylie-on behalf of Team Singapore
