Hey there everybody!
After 61 concerts over 22 days in the super awesome city of Hong Kong, we are so glad that we are back home safely! We really appreciate all of the support and prayers we have received over the past five weeks.
Throughout our time in training and overseas, God has really opened our eyes to so many awesome things and has taught us numerous lessons. One of which, probably the biggest and most important, is how we as humans can't do anything by our own strength or knowledge. This experience brought us to the end of ourselves, and that is where we learned to fully depend on God's power to work through us. This was particularly evident in those times where we felt like we didn't have physical strength or health, and wanted to give up. However, it was during those times that we just had to trust in the Lord and know that He would provide. As it says in II Corinthians 12:9,
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
His power was definitely made known through our many weaknesses. But it's not only in the difficult times that we need to rely on Him, but also when things are going well. We need to truly depend on Him in every situation and circumstance.
Another lesson we learned was how to be servants in everything we do. The Hong Kong YFC staff members were the perfect picture of what being servants should look like. They set aside their wants and desires on a daily basis because they really believed in living out the Great Commission. They got up earlier than we did, went out with us, and then at the end of the day they went back to the office and kept working without a single word of complaint. During those times when we wanted to complain about how tired, sick or crabby we were, or when we felt like we were entitled to a break, all we had to do was look at the positive attitude the YFC staff had. They knew and understood that this is what the Lord has called them to do, and they found joy in it. It was such a blessing to work with people who were so Kingdom-minded and ministry focused.
We hope and pray that we will be able to put the lessons we have learned into practice as we return to our "regular lives," whether that be at school, work, or church. We trust that the Lord will continue to be at work in us and through us, regardless of where we are, because our God here in North America is the same God as the one we saw at work in Hong Kong.
We've attached a bunch of pictures to give you a glimpse of our time in Hong Kong.
With much love,
Team HK

Team Hong Kong landed safely with all their gear! They are tired from lots of traveling, but thankful for God's provison!Written by Eric Mok Saturday, 10 July 2010 10:14
Hello friends, family, and supporters!
The past week has flown by! It seems like just yesterday that we stepped off the bus in front of the YFC into a completely unfamiliar world. Now it's hard to believe that we only have five days left. Things have slowed down a bit around here, and today we got our first day off, which is being filled with lots of spontaneous worship sessions, naps, and maybe a little souvenir shopping.
We got to play at the Avenue of the Stars last night right on the harborfront (the place with the beautiful view of the Hong Kong skyline) in Tsim Sha Tsui, which was cool because they had been trying to get a team to play at that venue for a long time. We also went to a youth camp for a day and a night. We had a little downtime to participate in some of the camp's activities, such as swimming, ping pong, karaoke, and badminton. We had the chance to hang out with some of the kids there, and a few of them showed up at the harborfront last night and showed us around a bit after we were done playing.
We're all very excited to share stories about the things we have experienced and the ways God has worked in and through us. We've learned many lessons through the past few weeks, and we're super excited to listen to the Singapore and Taiwan teams' stories too!
Thank you, New America Singers, for all the work you put in while you were here. We really enjoyed working with your team, and we will be keeping you in our prayers as you continue your travels!
Thanks to those who have prayed for us over the last couple weeks. It's so encouraging to know that people all over the world are lifting us up in prayer every day. Keep praying for renewed energy, Christ-like attitudes, and patience for everyone on the team.
We love you all muchly!

Dear all, I'm having an awesome time in HK with my CTI Team! Just want to let you know that I'm here safely, so you won't have to worry about me too much. Our schedule here is very busy, so I probably won't have any chance to get in touch with you either by phone or e-mail. But the good news is that you can always find updates on the blog. I miss you all very much and I've got so many great things to share with you when I get back. Don't forget God is good to us all the time. Love you all!
Rachelle :
Hey everyone! I'm still alive and well here in HK. Things are super busy, but in the most crazy awesome way possible! Mom and Dad, I hope you are doing well (Ruger and Benelli too). Dear Kylie; Sarah and I have been reindeer-ing, chicken feet-ing, and alien-ing in your remembrance, but it just isn't the same without you. Lesley: I have listened to Halfway Gone a few times just so I don't get rusty on our choreography. Jon Lee: There is so much Stitch here. You would love it. I love you all muchly, and I can't wait to hear about what has happened in your lives the past few weeks!
