Our Last Couple Days in Honduras
Sunday, 19 October 2014 - Lena Kvigne

We just got back from Honduras and we had a great time. One of the parts that sticks out to me the most was the last few days we were there. We had three concerts in one day; two elementary schools and then a boarding school. They were like no other concerts we have played there...the JPC staff really got the first two crowds going; then the third one was about 500 high schoolers who were willing to dance and praise God without holding back....

Story-time with Maddie
Thursday, 16 October 2014 - CTI 14:22

We'll have more photos and stories from Hong Kong to share once we're settled back stateside, but for now, we wanted to share a lovely story about 1422 that Maddie wrote one day as her journal entry. As we begin our long travel day back to the Central time zone, keep us in your prayers. One request I can think of is for grace - from ticket agents and custom officials in the airport, but also for one another as we lose the patience-buffer that is...

Hey everyone!   It's been a CRAZY 3 weeks but it's definitely been AMAZING to see how God is moving here in China. This short journey has definitely proven difficult and humbling, but I've grown so much in the process. Mom, Gram, Dad, Nadi, Chatty, Stanley (happy birthday!), Kennedy and Grady...I love all of y'all! Can't wait to see you in December!    XOXO   Kirsten

Monday, 13 October 2014 - Patty Lin

After I post this I'll be going to sleep in HK for the 3rd to last time before going to the airport. I can't believe how quickly our time here has flown by!   As a team we've been talking a lot about stewardship: being faithful to the gifts and opportunities God has given us by making the most out of it. The YFC in HK certainly don't waste an opportunity to share the Gospel and it's been our joy to serve alongside of and learn from them....

IMAGE Update from Honduras
Saturday, 11 October 2014 - Kelvin Woo

We've traveled to La Ceiba last Sunday, stayed for a few days and now we're in Tegucigalpa, planning to be here till Monday. We'll then be going to the YFC camp for the rest of the week in Copan.   We're overall doing excellent. This week does not seem mundane at all to the team just because we've gotten to experience so many different things over the last week. We have been getting used to the early morning schedules and have been...

2 Thessalonians 3:5 "May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ."A greater understanding of the Gospel that exemplifies God's love can lead to peace in adverse circumstances. As we move past the half-way point of our time in HK, I found 2 Th 3 to be of great encouragement. The blessing in v5 from Paul comes after asking for prayer and is...

Monday, 06 October 2014 - CTI 14:22

Maddie: Hey guys! It's been awesome in Hong Kong so far. It's challenging; however, every obstacle has proven to be an opportunity to grow and glorify God. Most of the challenges I've been facing have been those of what Matt and Kirsten have been facing as well: singing in Cantonese. We received our Hong Kong repertoire during our training tour and we spent hours in the van and on days off learning and memorizing our lyrics. During our first...

IMAGE HK Reflections from Hannah, Matt and Holly
Thursday, 02 October 2014 - CTI 14:22

Hannah: As we are just a few days into our time serving HKYFC, I'm reminded of my last fulltime team's mantra. At the end of every single day, I thank God for allowing us to be completely exhausted because we know we are doing Kingdom building work. We've had the chance to serve the elderly community, play in schools of all ages, and even play a few shows at Star Ferry.   Yesterday. after playing in the Mong Kok Community Hall for a few...
